Inside Mika Tajima’s “37 Dimensions” in Los Angeles

Published Tuesday, Jul 14, 2026

In this film, New York-based artist Mika Tajima discusses her solo exhibition 37 Dimensions at Pace in Los Angeles, which situates a number of her recent series in an unfolding conversation. Tajima’s multifaceted practice incorporates technology and data as well as traditional techniques to probe the aesthetic and perceptual complexities of contemporary life. Mirroring the enigmas of quantum states, the constellation of works in 37 Dimensions explores the depths of human cognition and latent potential.

From her new 24 Cosmos series to her Negentropica sculptures, “all the works connect through the idea of perception,” explains Tajima. “In the show I’m playing with a lot of different ways in which technology is shaping our experience of the world.” 37 Dimensions is on view at our gallery at 1201 South La Brea Avenue through August 15.
