Pace Gallery, Research & Archives department is seeking one intern to assist with a variety of library and archives projects.

Internships are available to students enrolled in graduate programs in Library and Information Science, Art History, Museum/Curatorial Studies, Archival Studies, or a related field. Interns must commit to two full days a week and be self-motivated and detail-oriented, as well as be able to work both independently and with a team. Candidates should have knowledge of basic library service, bibliographic research and cataloging, digitization projects, archival processing, and organization.

Pace Gallery is seeking a highly organized and resourceful Assistant to support our Chief Marketing Officer.

In this diverse role you will be responsible for ensuring that the CMO’s office run smoothly in the most efficient manner, you will take pride in providing exceptional, consistent and reliable administrative support relating to correspondence, incoming and outgoing calls and emails, calendar management and travel coordination. In this highly visible role you will also liaise closely with the members of our Executive team and various other departments and vendors.  

 

  

Pace Gallery is seeking an outgoing and experienced candidate to join our Gallery Assistant team with a focus on visitor and client interaction and overall sale team assistance. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for greeting our visitors and clients, answering in-person inquiries and calls, overseeing the general gallery email and providing key administrative sale support to our sales team, as well as participating in our gallery openings and special events. You pride yourself in being highly organized, personable and enjoy engaging with the public.

 

Please note this position is for immediate hire and comes with a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, with flexibility for events and openings.

 

 

Pace Gallery’s Imaging Department is looking for a Visual Resource Intern to assist our team with creating and editing metadata for our digital asset collection. Qualified candidates should be detail–oriented, able to multi-task effectively, work independently, and have an interest in archiving and asset management in a gallery setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for hands-on experience managing and maintaining a digital archive.   

Candidates should be currently enrolled in or be a recent graduate of an MLIS program or related masters field and have knowledge of basic archival principles. Additional knowledge of digitization, archival processing, and interest in modern and contemporary art is helpful.    

Please note this paid internship is for immediate hire and comes with a Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., schedule. This position will start on February 2019 and is open to a flexible end date.

Pace Gallery’s Research & Archives Department is seeking a part-time Cataloging Intern for the 2019 semester, starting immediately. Interns will become a vital member of our library and art cataloging team by assisting with special projects, including data entry, cataloging library and special collections materials, digitization projects, archival processing and re-housing materials. This is a fantastic opportunity for hands-on experience in archival and art cataloging practices.

This is a paid internship with a minimum requirement of sixteen hours per week with a flexible Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., schedule. This internship is tied to the 2019 semester and is ideal for students in library science, and archival studies. Knowledge of Library of Congress classifications, subject headings, and authorities is helpful but not required.
