Watch Our Film Chronicling the Re-Staging of Robert Whitman’s “American Moon”

Our new film chronicles the recent Pace Live presentation of artist Robert Whitman's seminal performance work American Moon, originally staged in 1960 as part of the Happenings movement on New York's Lower East Side. It features commentary from Pace Live Curatorial Director Mark Beasley, performers in the production at our New York gallery, and Whitman himself, shedding light on the process of recreating the 20th century work for a contemporary audience.
