Tim Eitel: Open Walls

The Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig will present a solo exhibition of paintings by German painter Tim Eitel from September 8 – December 8, 2019.

In his painting, Tim Eitel creates analogies with reality, using what he has seen and experienced to construct fictitious, parallel worlds. Everything in his works is based on encounters, objects captured in photographs or real spaces. Each of these experiences is boiled down to its most meaningful quintessence.

The ambivalence between the pure colour as an expansive, abstract form, and the colour used as the motif, atmosphere and emotion, is a characteristic feature of all his work. Eitel’s pictures present moments, instead of telling stories.
