Tara Donovan, Untitled (Plastic Cups), 2008, plastic cups, 3' 2" x 30' x 26' © Tara Donovan Museum Exhibitions Tara Donovan Hyperobjects Ballroom Marfa, TexasApril 13 – November 4, 2018 Tara Donovan is included in Hyperobjects, a group exhibition co-organized by philosopher and Rice University professor Timothy Morton and Ballroom Marfa Director & Curator Laura Copelin. The exhibition engages ideas from Morton’s theory of hyperobjects, entities that are bewilderingly huge and seemingly incomprehensible, to confront the overwhelming scale of today’s ecological crisis. Tara Donovan will present the site-specific installation, Untitled (Plastic Cups), where she "applies sculptural process to the fundamental properties of an object, in this case a plastic cup, at a scale that transforms the cup into something else entirely."Hyperobjects opens April 13 at Ballroom Marfa in Marfa, Texas.
