Learoyd produces portraits, landscapes and still lifes that are closely related to painting. He creates his life-size photographs using a camera obscura that he built himself, so there are no negatives. This means that, as in painting, each picture is a unique artwork. For more information, please visit The Hague Museum of Photography's (opens in a new window) website.
