Katy Hessel, Torkwase Dyson, Nora Lawrence, and Sarita Dubin in Conversation

Thursday, October 22, 2026
6:30 – 8 PM
540 West 25th Street
New York

In celebration of the exhibitions Arlene Shechet: She Said She Said, Torkwase Dyson: Seeing in Blue, and Lynda Benglis: KNOTTING, TYING, FOLDING, Torkwase Dyson, Nora Lawrence, and Sarita Dubin will participate in a conversation moderated by Katy Hessel on Thursday, October 22.

Set on the gallery’s seventh floor, the conversation will center around each artist’s groundbreaking practice and the ways in which their works—from Benglis’s gestural forms to Shechet’s inventive sculptures and Dyson’s multivalent paintings—speak to one another across time and mediums. Hessel, creator of (opens in a new window) @thegreatwomenartists Instagram and podcast and author of the book The Story of Art Without Men (2023), will moderate.
