News 540 West 25th Street Pace Gallery's new home in the heart of Chelsea A Gallery 60 Years in the MakingAfter almost six decades of history in Manhattan, we will cement our commitment to Chelsea with a new global headquarters in the heart of the neighborhood. Open to the public on September 14, 2019, we're thrilled to present a series of exhibitions throughout the new building, including: an exhibition dedicated to twentieth century master Alexander Calder occupying the first floor gallery; a site-specific installation by Yto Barrada in the library; a show of new paintings by celebrated New York-based artist Loie Hollowell on the second floor; an installation of new work by David Hockney on the third floor; an exhibition of portraits by Peter Hujar presented in collaboration with Pace/MacGill on the third floor; and a presentation charting the evolution of Fred Wilson’s chandelier sculptures installed on the seventh floor. 540 Time Lapse "For nearly six decades, Pace has celebrated and advanced the work of creative pioneers. They are our inspiration, mission, and the source of our vision. Pace has designed and crafted every element of our new global headquarters to provide a vehicle for artists to tell their stories as richly as they deserve to be told and as dynamically as our communities deserve to experience them."Marc Glimcher, Pace Gallery President & CEO In the Press (opens in a new window) Take a Sneak Peek Inside Pace Gallery’s Giant New Chelsea HeadquartersArtnet News (opens in a new window) At Their Own Pace: Inside New York's Newest Art OasisW Magazine (opens in a new window) Pace Gallery Unveils a Game-Changing Global Flagship in ManhattanArchitectural Digest (opens in a new window) Picking Up the Pace: A Mega-Gallery Expands in ChelseaThe New York Times (opens in a new window) Pace Gallery to Open Chelsea Flagship Building in 2019Artforum (opens in a new window) The 14 Most Anticipated Buildings of 2019Architectural Digest News — Welcome to 540 West 25th Street, Sep 1, 2019
