Here, Glimcher, who maintained a close friendship with the artist for almost 60 years, shares memories of his early experiences with Irwin and his work, including the gallery's 1974 presentation of Robert Irwin: Soft Wall in New York. Robert Irwin in Los Angeles, Pace's first presentation of the artist's work since his death in 2023, traces the development of his practice, which centers on questions of perception, experience, and feeling.
