Jo Baer

As part of our ongoing Artists Respond series, Jo Baer contributed a series of photos capturing the day-by-day making of her latest painting Armageddon (Meditation, on Predators and Prey), pictured here, accompanied by an image of the finished work in her studio in Amsterdam.

With this painting Baer formulates the following quote: “Why, at the End of Days, when the Messiah walks Among us and the Moon Turns Red with Blood, Will the Righteous have Animal Heads instead of Human?"
