Pace’s booth will center on the theme “Realism,” highlighting an intergenerational group of artists—from within and beyond the gallery’s program—working in representational painting.

The presentation will explore the full breadth of contemporary representation, from closely observed figurations to more interpretive, psychologically charged, and conceptually driven approaches. Situating emerging voices alongside established figures, the booth traces the evolution of realism across eras, mediums, and perspectives.

Highlights on Pace’s booth include:

Joel (1993) by Chuck Close, whose solo exhibition of portraits on paper and photographic maquettes continues at Pace’s New York gallery through April 25

A meticulously detailed painting by Sylvia Plimack Mangold of the inlaid wooden floor in her New York City apartment and studio, a key subject of her early career

A pair of early figurative works by Adolph Gottlieb, whose lean structuring and striking use of color in his classical representations anticipated his later transition into abstraction

M Train on Route to Manhattan Approaches the Williamsburg Bridge (1995) and Six Views of Edo: Shinjuko III (1989) by Richard Estes, a pioneer of Photorealism whose urban landscapes are marked by sharp focus and dynamic perspective

Mao Yan’s Reflection in a Night Scene (Studio) (2021), in which the artist employs a reduced palette of cool gray and blue tones to render a landscape both familiar and uncanny

Two works on paper by Judie Bamber that combine highly technical portraiture with the abstracted realm of memory to engage with gender and temporality

A new painting by Paulina Olowska, who, known for her figurative paintings that challenge art historical conventions as well as traditional notions of femininity, recently presented work at ARCOmadrid 2026

Jennifer J. Lee’s Side Jeans (2024), an intimate work that exemplifies her unique process of translating found photographs into focused compositions made with oil paint on jute burlap

A work by Dike Blair, who paints luminous photorealistic tableaus of everyday objects, interiors, and landscapes

Shimmer (2023–24) by Marilyn Minter, who works across photography, painting, and video to create unexpected representations of women that draw from and complicate the visual vernacular of commercial imagery

A new hyper realistic black-and-white charcoal and ink drawing on vellum by Robert Longo, whose first solo exhibition in Japan in three decades, Angels of the Maelstrom, opens at Pace in Tokyo on April 16

Yellow House (2025), a new painting by Asher Liftin, a Brooklyn-based artist who constructs images in carefully hand-painted fields of dots and lines
