Together, Oldenburg and van Bruggen’s practice resulted in some of the most recognizable and beloved public artworks in urban and civic spaces around the world. On the occasion of Claes & Coosje: A Duet, on view at our gallery in New York from March 26 through May 1, 2021, we're pleased to present this timeline encapsulating the development of Oldenburg and van Bruggen's large-scale projects, beginning with Trowel I in 1971 and culminating with Tumbling Tacks in 2009.
