Trevor Paglen's Known Unknowns

In a new film, Trevor Paglen parses issues of subjectivity and deception that surface in his photographs of “unids”—unknown objects in orbit around the Earth that are monitored and tracked by the US military—new video installation spotlighting counterintelligence official Richard Doty, and a new large-scale sculpture inspired by the “challenge coin” used by the US army’s Military Information Support Operations (MISO) command. These bodies of work will be featured as part of the artist’s first solo presentation with our gallery in New York from May 12 to July 22, 2023.
