Studio Drift to launch "Franchise Freedom" at the Kennedy Space Center on July 16

On Tuesday, July 16, in honor of the 50th anniversary of NASA's Apollo Program, Studio Drift will launch their flying sculpture Franchise Freedom during a performance by Duran Duran at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida.

Comprising hundreds of Intel® Shooting Star™drones, Franchise Freedom is a performative artwork at the interface between technology, science, and art. The artwork translates into a poetic illustration of how we, as humans, strive to live autonomously within societies defined by rules and conventions.
