"The Face in the Moon: Drawings and Prints by Louise Nevelson" at the Whitney

The Face in the Moon: Drawings and Prints by Louise Nevelson opens at the Whitney Museum on July 20. This exhibition, drawn entirely from the Whitney's collection, shows Nevelson's work in drawing, printing, and collage, from her early focus on the human body through her progression into abstraction. Typical of her artistic practice, Nevelson incorporated unconventional or recycled materials into prints as well as she "sought to transform the materials that she used and the subjects that she depicted."
