Fred Wilson will be participating in Art21's special public program, 'The Artist as Researcher.' During his presentation, Wilson will discuss his research process for his upcoming exhibition, Afro Kismet, and will then be joined by art historian Andrianna Campbell to discuss the complex histories of origin, migration, and race that Wilson’s work addresses, as well as the research processes that guide both of their practices.
Fred Wilson's talk will take place Wednesday, July 11 from 6-8 pm at the NYU Department of Art and Art Professions. The event is free, but advance registration is required. To register, click here.
Fred Wilson: Afro Kismet opens at 510 W 25th Street on Tuesday, July 10 with a public reception from 6-8 pm. The exhibition will be on view through August 17.
