Pace Gallery to Open in Geneva

Quai des Bergues 15–17

Opening March 21, 2018

Pace is delighted to announce a presence in Switzerland with the opening of an exhibition space in Geneva this March, closely following the gallery’s first time participating in the city’s premiere art fair, artgenève, on view 1 - 4 February 2018. Located in the center of the city at Quai des Bergues 15-17, the new space will occupy 333 square meters and provide Pace a platform to further strengthen its engagement with the region’s cultural institutions, collectors and public audiences.

“The cultural communities across Switzerland and throughout Europe have long played a pivotal role in Pace’s work internationally and we’re very excited to establish a more permanent presence in Geneva,” said Marc Glimcher, Pace Gallery President and CEO. “As the art world grows increasingly global, embracing new commercial centers and strengthening relationships with communities of collectors around the world are key elements of our mission to advance the international engagement with our artists’ work.”

Pace will initiate its entry to Geneva with a special exhibition of works by Sol LeWitt, Louise Nevelson, and Adam Pendleton, on view from 21 March to 4 May 2018, with an opening reception the evening of 20 March. The exhibition will explore affinities between the minimalist and conceptual luminaries, working across different decades and media. For more coverage of the announcement, click (opens in a new window) here
