Last week, Tate Modern inaugurated a new impressive building. The “Switch House” is a 10-storey extension in the shape of a truncated pyramid designed by Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron. It features a striking combination of raw industrial spaces and refined 21st century architecture. To celebrate the opening on 17 June, Tate presents a series of works from the permanent collection, including pieces by Chinese artists Liu Jianhua and Song Dong.
Liu’s Blank Paper is presented on Level 2: Between Object and Architecture
Song’s A Pot of Boiling Water on Level 3: Performer and Participant
