Liu Jianhua’s work “Collected Letters” is now on view at Asian Art Museum, San Francisco. It’s exhibited on the second floor loggia in the main hall. As one of the most influential contemporary installation artist, Liu was commissioned by Society for Asian Art to create a giant installation artwork consisting of 3000 pieces of ceramics for the 50th years anniversary of the museum.
Through a meaningful and unpredictable way, “Collected Letters” brings the new audiences an unforgettable encountering with the contemporary art,” said Jay Xu, director of the museum. “This installation fits with our foreseeable mission, provokes conversations about the future, and built a good foundation for the next 50 years. ”
