Alexander Calder at Tate Modern

In November 2015, the Tate Modern will present Alexander Calder: Performing Sculpture, the largest retrospective of the artist’s mobiles. The exhibition charts the emergence of Calder’s interest in movement during his stay in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s, the evolution of his mobiles, and their impact on dance, film, music, theater, and sculpture in the twentieth century.
