The City of London and Canary Wharf Group have comissioned Michal Rovner to create a number of video installations for a new crossrail station. Opening in 2018, several pieces depicting a continual stream of people in motion will be permanent fixtures throughout the station in Canary Wharf. These public artworks will be seen by over 25 million passengers a year and will be curated by Future City.“The preliminary ideas for these works were inspired by the site, envisioning the human interaction and passage and the accelerated movement of people within the architectural layer and through the space. My aim is to address the multi-layers and vectors of this space and the human flow that will take place in this station.” - Michal Rovner
