Michael Rovner Awarded 2018 EMET Prize

Pace artist Michal Rovner has been awarded the 2018 EMET Prize in Arts & Culture. The EMET Prize is an annual prize given for excellence in academic and professional achievements that have far reaching influence and significant contribution to society. The prize is awarded by the A.M.N. Foundation for the Advancement of Science, Art and Culture in Israel.

“The EMET Prize is awarded to Michal Rovner for her outstanding pioneering achievements in the field of photography in the broad sense of the medium, for her artistic language which challenges the boundaries of the medium in still photography, video and multi-media installations; and for her work that explores political, historical and existential issues, that are at once local-mythical and universal.”—EMET Prize Jury Statement

The EMET Prize is an annual prize given for excellence in academic and professional achievements that have far reaching influence and significant contribution to society. The award will be presented by Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the State of Israel, on November 15 in Jerusalem.
