Security Director

Pace recently settled into a new home at 540 West 25th Street, an eight-story gallery made up of gallery spaces and offices. As Security Director, you will be responsible for overseeing, implementing, and reinforcing security measures across the entire gallery space. Your day-to-day priorities will focus on the security of our Gallery spaces, office spaces, Gallery employees, Gallery visitors and clients, and Gallery assets.

Responsibilities
  • Devise policies and procedures around securing the Gallery and the assets within the Gallery
  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points; permitting entry
  • Identify security initiatives and standards.
  • Oversee network of both internal and external security staff who secure the Gallery
  • Develop procedures to ensure physical safety of employees and visitors
  • Ensure security is maintained and updated
  • Create workplace violence awareness and prevention programs
  • Implement video surveillance
  • Prioritize security initiatives
  • Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies
  • Develop emergency procedures and incident responses.
  • Investigate security breaches
  • Conduct audits to find holes in security platform
  • Develop risk management assessments
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedure
  • Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures
  • Knowledge of safety management and surveillance
  • Understanding of electronic security systems
  • Understanding of public security and safety
  • Comfort in a fast paced, busy, and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to own tasks and responsibilities, always in pursuit of the best solutions
  • Ability to act quickly and think strategically
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task with exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to hold and maintain highest level of emotional control, integrity, and professionalism
