Today, Pace has nine locations worldwide including London, Geneva, a strong foothold in Palo Alto and two galleries in New York. Pace was one of the first international galleries to establish outposts in Asia where it operates permanent spaces in Hong Kong and Seoul.

Pace is seeking an experienced and industry-rounded Director of Information Technology to take full ownership of our global infrastructure.

This individual reports to the COO and will provide strong leadership towards our IT strategy, day-to-day operations, cost-optimization, innovation, and constant efficiency improvement. CRM and similar project implementation experience preferred.


Information Technology

What you'll be doing:
  • Leads by example through patience, collaboration, flexibility, and an openness to find the best IT solution
  • With the support of a team, manages the IT day-to-day operations, continually seeks to improve service and solutions, and regularly improves infrastructure costs
  • Ability to gain the trust and credibility needed to be an agent of change and to drive change across a legacy organization
  • Leads project management and advocacy efforts to ensure successful completion and user buy-in of key systems such as CRM and ERP
  • Introduces new infrastructure and tools to enhance Pace’s overall capabilities
  • Leads the strategic direction and oversight of design, development, operations and support of our IT systems
  • Works with Security and Facilities in incident management
  • Responsible for the overall effectiveness, safety and efficiency of data and cloud technology systems
  • Works with HR on projects including recruiting, on-boarding, performance reviews and training
  • Experience building, mentoring and developing teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Manages Pace’s recovery of information systems, including needs analysis, design, implementation and necessary documentation
  • Stays up to date on IT industry trends and continually seeks to bring the company’s infrastructure to meet the needs of our modern business  
  • Partners with department heads across the gallery to influence and drive business and technical decisions as well as help to prioritize projects
  • Works closely with Operations, Facilities, Finance, Communications, Sales, and HR

What you'll bring:
  • At least ten years of experience owning the Information Technology infrastructure of a mid to large-sized organization, preferably in a museum or large art gallery
  • B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong experience with the complete Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning, delivery, project management, and policy development
  • Proven experience leading a global support services team
  • Proven experience in project management and system advocacy
  • Strong experience leading a CRM implementation (preferably Microsoft)
  • Successful manager of people and teams, including strategy with goal setting and budgeting
