Pairing deep artistic knowledge with acute interpersonal skills, our GA team provides first-class experiences for everyone at Pace. We require our GAs to be experts on the art and artists that we exhibit and rely on their intuition and high EQ to seamlessly engage guests, clients and friends of the gallery.What You’ll Be Doing:Promptly and warmly welcoming guests to the gallery, create an engaging experience that is inclusive to all visitorsAnswer phones, direct inquiries, manage email correspondence, connect clients with staffMaintain thorough understanding of our current exhibitions, prepare checklists and other related documentsExhibit exceptional communication skills and act as a resource for questions about the gallery and our artistsDemonstrate a high level of sensitivity and discretion regarding confidential informationThink quickly under pressure and demonstrate flexibility and patience while navigating rapidly changing business prioritiesWork effectively both independently and within a teamPossess a sincere interest in people and exercise high Emotional Intelligence (EQ) when interacting with guests, clients, etc.Demonstrate motivation and interest in understanding business needs, build strong relationships as needed to assist staff members and achieve shared goalsSupport gallery events and public programmingCreate and maintain sales documents, provide administrative support to teams across the galleryPack and coordinate gallery mailings and shipmentsMaintain CRM data entryOrder and maintain office and pantry suppliesWhat You’ll Bring:Bachelor's degree with 1+ years related work experienceStrong administrative skills including but not limited to answering and directing phone calls, managing internal and external email correspondence, responding to public inquiries, and working directly with staff and clientsHigh degree of poise and professionalism, work well under pressure, and effectively communicate with people from all walks of lifeFriendly and positive demeanor and genuinely enjoy interacting with the public and staffThorough knowledge of Pace’s artists and demonstrate a passion for contemporary and modern artThorough knowledge of Microsoft/Outlook and database programsKnowledge of accounting, data or administrative management practices and proceduresEstimated compensation for this role is $22.00 per hour.In addition to an active and progressive work environment, Pace Gallery offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement plans with a company match, flexible spending accounts and commuter benefits.
