Digital Designer

Pace is seeking a creative and motivated Digital Designer to join its global marketing team. The Digital Designer will help define and develop the gallery’s digital presence across multiple channels, and to frame the work of Pace’s artists for our vast online audience. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, and working collaboratively with Pace’s design team, the Digital Designer will produce a range content for use across multiple channels, including, but not limited to, digital advertising, social media, video and motion graphics, and sales materials.

What you'll be doing:
  • Collaborating with marketing team to conceptualize and design a range of digital-focused marketing and promotional materials within brand and project guidelines, including, but not limited to:
    • Sales marketing materials
    • Social media assets
    • Digital advertising (rich media, video ads, display ads)
    • Digital billboards
    • Announcement cards and event invitations
  • Conceptualizing and creating video and motion graphics for use in gallery advertisements, social media, promotional videos, press, and other media
  • Collaborating with Pace’s design department to define the Pace Gallery brand
  • Fostering new ideas in design and content creation, with an eye towards the future of digital media
  • Assisting in design of any additional digital or print materials as needed by various stakeholders within the gallery
  • Ad hoc video edits, as required
What you'll bring:
  • 2-4 years of experience working as a graphic designer at a brand or creative agency
  • B.A. in Graphic Design or related field
  • Knowledge and interest in contemporary art
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard applications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in video- and motion-design applications
  • Thorough understanding and appreciation of design principles such as typography, layout, color, motion, and composition
  • UX / UI design experience
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Experience working with Mailchimp or comparable email service provider
  • Ability to work on multiple projects of varying scopes, timelines, and production schedules
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with agility, professionalism, and confidence in a deadline-driven environment
  • Knowledge of the Chinese language is a plus
