Song Dong in Hong Kong, Sydney and New York

Chinese artist Song Dong is currently featured in four major solo exhibitions in three cities worldwide.

In Hong Kong, Asia Art Archive and Mobile M+ co-present Song Dong: 36 Calendars, the artist's first solo exhibition in the city. Enlisting the help of over 400 participants, Song Dong creates hand-drawn wall calendars rewriting the last 36 years (1978–2013) from his personal perspective and invites the public to add to them with memories of their own.

In Sydney, Australia, Song Dong also has two coinciding projects as part of the 2013 Sydney Festival. Dad and Mum, Don't Worry About Us, We are All Well, a survey of Song Dong's work from the last three decades is on view at 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. Waste Not, an installation of 10,000 objects accumulated by the artist's mother  travels to Carrriageworks, its ninth venue worldwide. It previously was on view at the Barbican Museum, London in 2012 and Museum of Modern Art, New York in 2009.

Song Dong Doing Nothing is currently on view at Pace 534 West 25th Street through February 23, 2013 and at 510 West 25th Street through February 23, 2013.

ArtisTree: 36 Calendars on view through February 8, 2013

4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art:Dad and Mum, Don't Worry About Us, We are All Well on view through March 30, 2013
