Alexander S.C. Rower in Conversation with Harry Cooper at the National Gallery of Art

Alexander S.C. Rower, grandson of Alexander Calder and president of the Calder Foundation,  will give a talk on the works of his grandfather and the role they play in the collection of the National Gallery of Art. The NGA's Tower 2 galleries currently have the largest display of works by Calder, with more than 40 sculptures and paintings, spanning the late 1920s through 1976, including 19 long-term loans from the Calder Foundation.

Rower will be in conversation with Harry Cooper, curator and head of the Department of Modern Art at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. The talk will be held in the East Building Auditorium of the National Gallery of Art on Sunday, February 26 at 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
