Pace Gallery is pleased to announce its representation of Leo Villareal, a pioneer of innovative, large-scale LED light works.
In joining the gallery, Villareal will also work closely with FUTURE\PACE, a cultural partnership between Futurecity and Pace that reexamines the role of public art, architecture and urban planning. Villareal, with support from FUTURE\PACE, is leading a team that has been shortlisted for The Illuminated River competition in London. This public art commission envisions permanent light works for 17 bridges along the Thames and the public spaces surrounding them, casting new light on the river and the city.
Recent sculptures by Villareal will be displayed by Pace at Frieze London, in Regent’s Park, October 6–9, 2016.
