Lucas Samaras: Offerings from a Restless Soul opened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on February 24, 2014. Designed with input from the artist, the exhibition features over 60 works drawn primarily from the Museum’s rich collection of highly idiosyncratic work made by Lucas Samaras.
Showcasing his broad range of media and techniques, the exhibition includes both abstract works from the 1960s and digitally based pieces from the past decade. Located in the Lila Acheson Wallace Wing for Modern and Contemporary Art, North and South Mezzanines, Galleries 914 and 916, the show is on view through September 1, 2014.
